June 1-15, 2024

Disability Support Camp Visit - San Jose, California

📍 San Jose, California

Purpose: Assess accessibility and support needs for children with learning disabilities, and explore opportunities to develop specialized tutoring programs for students with diverse learning needs.

Activities: Facility tour, staff interviews, student observations, resource assessment, and collaborative planning with camp leadership. Our team will gather insights to inform the development of specialized volunteer training and inclusive program design.

July 10-25, 2024

Rural Community Learning Initiative - Appalachian Region

📍 Appalachian Region (Multi-state)

Purpose: Establish partnerships with rural schools and community centers, understand unique educational challenges in rural areas, and design culturally responsive programs.

Activities: Community meetings with school leaders and families, comprehensive needs assessment, program design workshops, and partnership formalization. We'll explore how to adapt our tutoring and mentorship models for rural contexts.

August 5-20, 2024

Urban Tutoring Center Expansion - Atlanta Metro Area

📍 Atlanta, Georgia

Purpose: Launch new tutoring centers in three underserved neighborhoods, increase accessibility of our programs, and create community hubs for learning and support.

Activities: Staff training and onboarding, volunteer recruitment drives, student enrollment events, facility setup, and community launch celebrations. These centers will serve as anchors for expanded tutoring, mentorship, and family engagement services.

September 15-30, 2024

School Partnership Development - Texas Region

📍 Texas (Multi-district)

Purpose: Formalize relationships with five new school districts, align our programs with school curricula, and establish sustainable partnerships that support student achievement.

Activities: District-level meetings with superintendents and principals, teacher training on supporting low-income learners, program implementation planning, and memoranda of understanding (MOU) signing. These partnerships will enable us to identify students in need and coordinate services at scale.

October 12-27, 2024

Volunteer Summit & Training Retreat - Georgia

📍 Georgia (TBD)

Purpose: Bring together volunteer leaders from across our network for advanced training, best practice sharing, and strategic planning. Strengthen our volunteer community and celebrate their impact.

Activities: Leadership workshops on mentoring and tutoring excellence, peer learning circles, recognition of outstanding volunteers, networking sessions, and collaborative strategic planning. This retreat will energize our volunteer community and ensure continued growth and quality.
